I am 24-years-old and I am hoping to have a rhinoplasty to fix my crooked nose. However, I have always had very thin skin and I worry this will be an issue during my procedure. Is there a way to help my nose job be successful despite my thin skin?

Skin thickness is an important issue to consider in rhinoplasty. Since you have thin skin, there is a risk of visualizing contour irregularities of cartilage and bone of the nose in the several months to few years following your rhinoplasty. In your case, I may consider using a temporalis fascia graft to cover the cartilage and bone of the nose. Temporalis fascia graft is obtained from a small incision placed just above the ear; the incision is well hidden within the hair and no hair is removed to perform the procedure.
