I’ve heard that the best way to add definition to the nasal tip in Asian patients is with a rib graft or L-shaped implant. Is this true?

Lack of definition of nasal tip in Asian patients may be related to thick nasal skin and/or poorly defined nasal tip cartilages. There are a variety of methods to achieve definition to the nasal tip in Asian patients. One option is suture techniques to achieve refinement of your own nasal tip cartilages. If this proves to be ineffective in achieving refinement, then tip grafts may be considered. Tip grafts can be formed from either septum cartilage, ear cartilage, or rib cartilage.
