I’m a little over two weeks post op from ethnic rhinoplasty to increase definition in my tip and reduce the alar base. I know it’s early, but my tip now droops. Does this mean that I’ll need a revision procedure?

Not necessarily. It is early in the healing process after rhinoplasty. You may wish to discuss this concern with your original surgeon. There may be increased swelling at the nasal tip which will resolve with time. As well, taping of the nose may be of benefit during this period to facilitate the healing process. In my experience, I use a varieity of techniques to improve nasal tip support to minimize the risk of nasal tip drooping, such as suture techniques, placement of cartilage to increase support (columellar strut), and taping in the postoperative period to maintain the result.
