Procedure Detail: This 54 year old female presented for evaluation of sun-damaged skin to the face. Dr. Batniji performed the following:

Laser skin resurfacing of the entire face to address fine lines/wrinkles and sun-damaged skin. Dr. Batniji used the Sciton laser, which is a fractionated laser. With this system, he performed 3 different laser treatments in one to address not only the fine lines and wrinkles, but also treat pigmentation of the skin. These treatments include: broadband light, microlaser peel, and profractional laser treatments.

Laser skin resurfacing with fractionated lasers can be performed in the office. It can be performed at the same time as other facial surgery, including facelift. For example, this patient underwent the following procedures at the same time as her laser resurfacing:

Facelift with necklift.
Endoscopic brow lift.
Upper blepharoplasty.
Lower blepharoplasty.

Procedure Detail: This 52 year old female presented in consultation for evaluation of sun-damaged skin of the face, neck, and chest. In order to address the sun damage to the skin as well as fine lines and wrinkles, Dr. Batniji performed the following:
Plasma resurfacing of the skin of the face, neck, and chest with the Portrait system. The procedure was performed with topical anesthetic cream. Dr. Batniji incorporates the CliniqueMedical skin care system prior to and after the procedure to enhance the results and expedite the healing process following plasma resurfacing.

Dr. Batniji performed a lower facelift and necklift (using a modified deep plane technique) as well as a fractionated laser resurfacing at same time. Dr. Batniji frequently performs this combination of surgeries at the same time to not only reposition tissues with the lower facelift/necklift, but also address sun damage/lines/wrinkles of the skin with the fractionated laser resurfacing.
