Procedure Detail: This woman presented to Dr. Batniji with fullness of the lower eyelids and hollowness beneath the lower lids. Dr. Batniji discussed the benefits of lower eyelid surgery (lower blepharoplasty) with re-positioning of the lower eyelid fat into the hollowed areas to provide a more youthful contour to the lower eyelid and cheek complex. However, this patient preferred a non-surgical option. Therefore, Dr. Batniji performed Juvederm injections to the lower eyelids and to the cheeks in the office to smoothen out the hollowness in the lower eyelids, add volume to a cheeks thus lifting the cheek tissues, and provide a more youthful appearance.
